Making iPad reading comfortable: fonts, themes and text size all adjustable with Mote Reader

Reading is easier when the page suits the reader. Mote's appearance controls are in the reader toolbar, and what you choose applies across every text you open rather than one document at a time. You can switch between regular and Focused reading modes by tapping the document icon at the top of your screen.

What you can change

• Theme: Basic, Warm or Muted.
• Light or dark: match your device, or force one.
• Font: System, Georgia, Avenir Next, New York, or OpenDyslexic.
• Text size and bold text.
• Line spacing, and whether text is justified.

OpenDyslexic

OpenDyslexic is a typeface with heavier letter bottoms, designed to make letters harder to confuse with one another. Some readers find it a considerable help and others prefer a standard face, so it is worth trying rather than assuming either way.

Reading along
