Marking up a PDF

A worksheet is meant to be written on. A PDF a student can only read is half a worksheet, so Mote PDF adds mark-up that belongs to the document itself.

What you can add

• Highlighting to mark important text.
• Annotations to comment on the page.
• Text boxes typed straight onto the document, for answers and notes.

It saves into the file

Marks are written into the PDF rather than kept in a separate app, so a completed worksheet is still a completed worksheet when it is handed in. If the file came from Google Drive, the changes save back there.

Typing without typing

Text boxes work with Speech to Text, so a student can dictate an answer instead of typing it, and with Text Prediction for word suggestions as they write. This matters for students who cannot handwrite or find typing slow: they complete the same worksheet as everyone else, digitally, without printing, scanning or photographing it back.
