Saving your work back to Google Drive

When you open a PDF from Google Drive, your edits save back to Drive with the changes in them. The file a student hands in is the file they worked on, in the place the teacher expects to find it.

Why this matters

The usual PDF workflow loses students partway through: download the worksheet, fill it in somewhere, re-upload it, and hope the right version is the one submitted. Saving straight back to Drive removes those steps, so there is no duplicate copy and no question about which file is the finished one.

What gets saved

Everything written into the document travels with it: highlights, annotations, text boxes, inserted images, and signatures. Someone opening the file later sees the work, whether or not they use Mote.

If you did not open the file from Drive

A PDF opened from somewhere else can still be saved and shared as a file. The automatic save-back applies to files opened from Drive.
