Let's walk through several reasons why you may no longer be able to see the mote 'M' icons in your documents.
1. Perhaps you've just had an auto-update of the mote extension.
This may disable mote in any open Chrome tabs. Try refreshing the page.
2. Have you disabled the extension in the mote options menu?
Click the mote icon in your browser bar (top right of your screen) and ensure that 'Enable extension' is set as shown above. Then refresh your chrome tab to start using mote again.
3. Has the mote extension been disabled in your Chrome settings?
This can happen sometimes, especially when a new extension release triggers new user permissions.
In Chrome, visit chrome://extensions/ and find the mote extension. Make sure that the extension is set to 'on', which will look like this: (or with a white background if you haven't enabled dark mode. Which you should, because it's soooo much better for your eyes. I digress...). Again, you may need to refresh Chrome tabs to use mote.
3. Has your IT administrator made a change?
If neither of the above solutions work, it's possible that something has happened to your machine or to your network. Please contact your IT support team for further assistance.
