How can I improve transcription quality?

We're using the highest quality machine transcription on the market, but it's still a long way from perfect.

In addition to using the 'Edit' function to refine your transcript, we'd suggest the following steps:

• Instead of using your laptop microphone, use a good quality external microphone, headphones, or bluetooth headset. Note that bluetooth headsets often introduce a delay to the microphone detection, so you'll want to wait a few seconds before starting to speak.
• Minimize background noise, especially if you're using your laptop's microphone
• Finally...(and yes, it's the obvious point...) please try speaking a little more slowly and clearly than usual. Humans pretend to understand you when they don't, but machines don't have that luxury.
