Can I buy a subscription for another user?

It is now possible to purchase individual Unlimited licences for use by other users. Please note if you are at an institution and wish to purchase more than 5 licenses, it may be cheaper and more efficient explore our 'Department or team' pricing.

To purchase a license for another user, simple head to the pricing page, and click 'Buy for someone else'

You will then be taken to the checkout page, where you can enter the name and email address of the user for whom you're buying the subscription. You can also configure when you would like to send the subscription out to the user in an email -- note this is different from the start-date, which is when the user activates the subscription.

Note the checkout page will refer to the subscription as a 'gift', though this is just a quirk of our payment management system, and will not be reflected in the email to your user.

At the appointed date/time, the user will receive an email informing them of the subscription which has been bought on their behalf, with a link they can follow to activate it.

Note if you are taking out a subscription for an existing user of Mote, please ensure you enter the email they use to sign-in to Mote, else a new account will be created under whatever other email you use.
