Keyboard shortcuts for Increased Productivity and Accessibility using Mote
Keyboard shortcuts are great for productivity and for accessibility. Here's the keyboard shortcuts supported for accessing Read Aloud, Translation, Voice Typing, Recording and Engaging with Mote content.
Opening the Mote Sidebar (Chrome Extension)
On Macs: Control+Shift+M
On PCs and Chromebooks: Alt+Shift+M
Accessing Mote Read Aloud using Keyboard Shortcuts
Once the extension is open, you can use Tab to move forward and Tab+Shift to move back through the Mote Sidebar functions.
By default the 'Play page' option should be highlighted, and you can begin playback by hitting 'Enter'. If you instead wish to read a specific area of the page, hit 'Tab' to navigate to the 'Select Area' function and then use the keypad /mouse to select your area to read.
Similarly, you can access voice-typing and translation by using Tab to navigate to the relevant functions on the sidebar. If you encounter issues please let us know.

Open Select Area: Control + Shift + C
Open Translate Area: Control + Shift + T
Recording a mote from the Chrome Extension
Select the 'More mote...' button to open the Mote extension and then to record or generate a mote.
