Help! The beginning / end of my recording is being cut!

If you're finding that your voice note is being clipped in some way, either at the start or end of your recording, the most likely reason is that you're using an external microphone that is creating a delay in connection.

Sometimes bluetooth headsets, including Airpods, can we really slow to establish a connection with your computer when you start talking.

If you're struggling, we'd recommend using a wired microphone (either a 3.5mm headphone or USB microphone) or just speaking clearly into your computer, provided your background noise level isn't too high.
