How do I use the Mote mobile app?
We're so glad you asked!
The Mote mobile app is available for iOS devices, including iPhones and iPads, and for Mac laptops.
How to get started with the Mote mobile app?
You can download the app from the iOS App Store here.
What can I do with the Mote mobile app?
Currently, the Mote mobile app is designed to support two key use cases:
1. Creating a 'mote' from within any app, by using the Mote keyboard. For example, you can use Mote within Google Docs or Google Classroom on your iPhone or iPad. To access, just click or hold down on the languages (globe) icon in the bottom-left of your screen.
Check out the video below to see how this works in Google Classroom.
2. Creating a 'mote' from within the Mote mobile app itself.
Why use the Mote mobile app?
Use the keyboard functionality when you're working on your mobile or tablet but still want to be able to leave Mote voice notes that other people can access. Unlike the desktop Chrome extension, you won't see your Mote links rendered as cards while using your mobile device, however recipients using a browser with our extension installed will see these just the same as they see motes that you create using the extension.
One great reason to use the Mote mobile app as a recorder is in order to create motes that you can access later from your desktop. As soon as you make a recording in the app, your motes will be available to access and copy/paste from the 'My recent motes' section of the Mote extension.
