How can I use Mote to help teachers to correctly pronounce student names using Mote Name Recording?

Introducing Mote Name Recording

As a teacher or school administrator, you know how valuable it is to make every student feel respected and included. A big part of that is getting their names right! This shows students you value them and helps to create a welcoming classroom environment.

However, in a modern classroom with many global cultures represented, correctly pronouncing every student's names can be challenging. But don't worry, Mote is here to help! We've developed a fantastic new feature that enables students to record their names, and allows teachers to easily access these recordings.

This way, you can hear exactly how it's pronounced, straight from them. It's a simple, effective tool to ensure everyone's name is pronounced correctly, creating an even more positive and inclusive atmosphere in your school.

How it works

When they sign in to Mote.com, for the first time OR for the first time since Name Recording has been enabled on your account, teachers and students are both prompted to record their name.

Once recorded, teachers and students can update their Mote Name Recording from their Account page at https://www.mote.com/account/profile

All teachers who have a license within your Mote account will be able to search by student name and listen to the name pronunciation. To do this, they can simply head to mote.com and then navigate to 'My School', where they will see a list of student and teacher names.

Students and teachers who have recorded a name pronunciation guide will show the sound icon next to their names, which can be clicked to listen.
