As a Languages Teachers, a great place to start using Mote is with Google Forms, because Mote offers the easiest way to incorporate speaking and listening assessments within this very popular platform.
We recommend having students install the Mote Chrome extension if you are going to use Mote with Google Forms, for three very good reasons:
1) This is required if you want to assess students using Google Forms Locked Mode
2) Even if not using Locked Mode, having the Chrome Extension installed provides students with a better experience.
3) Finally, if you want to have students record speaking activities for assessment, they will need the Chrome extension installed.
Speak to your IT department or Instructional Technology rep for help setting up Mote on students' Chromebooks.
