Help - students can't log in to Mote using Google?

If you or your students are unable to log in to Mote using Google, it is probably because your Google Admin has not configured Mote with access to third party API permissions.


This is a simple task for your Admin, so please share this article or submit your internal request for permissions. If your Admin needs more information about Mote and our privacy /DPA commitments, they can find these on our website at mote.com/privacy or by searching in the Mote Support site.


To configure API access, here are the steps:


  1. In the Google Console, go to Security -> Access and data control -> API controls -> Manage third party APP access. Click here to access if you have Admin rights.
  2. Click 'Configure new app'
  3. Search for Mote, and then select the top search return, which should look something like the image below, and then confirm which org units will have access.

  1. Select 'Trusted' or 'Specific Google data' to give the Mote application access to the required Google APIs.

  1. Then click Continue and Finish. You are all set!
