How to help diagnose your issue

Once you have enabled Debug mode, start using Mote and try to replicate the problem that you faced before.

Please then contact support (using the widget below) and let us know that you have enabled debug mode. We will endeavour to respond with more information once we have reviewed your logs.

What is Debug mode?

Debug mode is a way of increasing the logging of your Mote experience, in particular the steps in the process of creating your mote content.

What is the purpose of Debug mode?

The purpose of Debug mode is to give our users a way to escalate and resolve their problems. When an error or dysfunction appears to a user, there is an enriched amount of information behind the scenes that could potentially help us resolve the issue.

Is my privacy threatened by debug mode?

No. There are no greater privacy risks associated with debug mode - the data we collect is strictly related to the interactions between our servers and your local machine.

How can I disable Debug mode?

Debug mode is automatically disabled after 24 hours. However, you can also manually disable debug mode.  Once disabled, your extension menu should look similar to this:
